The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

PHP / MySQL - Script for registering and displaying registered candidates

Asked by amirinamdar in PHP and Databases

I don't have any knowledge of PHP or MySQL. I only have some basic knowledge of html. However, my hosting service provides PHP and MySQL. I am building a website which is for a conference. I want to provide for an option for candidates/delegates to register online and then be taken to a thank you page. I also want the visitors to be able to see who is registered for what date, in a table form, without my intervention. e.g., if mr. a registers for attending the conference in the month of december, he should have that option in the registration form. Then the list of registered candidates should be able to display candidates registered month wise.
The form fields should be some thing like this:

Name:
Telephone:
Fax:
Mobile:
e-mail:
Branch:
Month to register for: <here there should be option for selecting months for the next two years begining July'05, from a drop down list>
Comments:

The list of registered candidates should be something like this:

July 05
Mr. A   <phone>  <fax>   <e-mail>   <branch>  <comments>
Mr. B   <phone>  <fax>   <e-mail>   <branch>  <comments>

August 05

Mr. D <phone>  <fax>   <e-mail>   <branch>  <comments>
Mr. E <phone>  <fax>   <e-mail>   <branch>  <comments>

and so on...

In addition, I should be able to edit the registration page, to shift/shuffle candidates , if required.

Finally, the script should allow for an e-mail to be sent to an address specified, once a candidate is registered.

I guess this should be a piece of cake for EE experts?!!
