PHP with IIS6 and MySQL

I am having an issue getting MySQL and PHP to work together. I receive and error:
Call to undefined function mysql_connect()
Here is the Environment:
Intel Box running Windows 2003 Standard Server w/ .netFramework 2.0
IIS 6
PHP 5.1.4 (this has been tested on this environment and works)
MySQL 5.0.22 (installed and I can use the database through the mysql command line)
I have mysql in the environment path and I have uncommented out the extensions and the extensions directory is configured in the php.ini file. I know php.ini is being read as I can execute PHP scripts.

The error message is generated during a post nuke install.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
