Build menu structure Mysql PHP

Hi is there any good tutorial or if someone has a code for building a menu structure that can be edited from a php admin and listed.

Something like this is what I was looking for.

1. mainmenu
1.1 mainmenu sub
1.2 mainmenu sub
1.2.1 mainmenu sub sub
2. mainmenu2

How do I build the Database?
How do I add menu items from a php script?
