Using RedHat, Plesk 8, SugarCRM 5 Community Edition, PHP5, mySQL 5, Apache 2

I am getting the following error after trying to create the admin user:
Query Failed: AND users.id = '1'::MySQL error 1064:

I see this is a very common problem, but i cannot seem to solve it.
I tried turning PHP Safe Mode off, and it made the error go away, but the page shows up blank and I can't do anything.  If I turn it back on, I get this error.  Start Free Trial
