The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Creating dynamic pages using php

Question:
At present, I have a website operating so on the welcome page (index.php) if I select about it uses the link - http://www.mywebsite.com/index.php?page=aboutus.
Built into the index file it has the right code to select the correct middle.php file for row 2.
Sample Layout
Row 1  header.php
<?php include("http://www.mywebsite.com.au/templates/header/header.php"); ?>
Row 2  contactus.php  Contact Info
<?php include("http://www.mywebsite.com.au/company/aboutus.php"); ?>
Row 3  footer.php
<?php include("http://www.mywebsite.com.au/templates/footer/footer.php"); ?>

In all instances the header.php/footer.php are absolute i.e. always the same and any changes made to those files flow through automatically to all pages throughout the site.

The problem is with the middle file - I have a page that has 3 columns
Column 1 - navleft.php
Column 2 - about.php
Column 3 - navright.php

If I change the design of about.php page I have to do it for nearly every page Ive created because they are just copies of about.php i.e calls contactus.php or profile.php.

What I am trying to do is make a new file called middle.php file dynamic so as to control the middle column in the middle.php file.

Thus, when a page/link on my website is selected it automatically brings up the correct php file in the middle row.
For example select the about us link.
- http://www.mywebsite.com/index.php?page=aboutus.
Calls index.php file with header, aboutus, footer file AND
the middle file About calls the middle file.php with navleft.php,about.php,navright.php

Something really simple would be great.
