how do i write this query correctly for mysql in php

I need to use the attached code to write another query for another link

I want to use this query, but i need it to say select * from ANSWER table where Q_ID column equals Q_8 and the value of Q_8 is 'yes'.  the text field in the screenshot is hold the value for q_8.  I've tried several things, but nothing works.
