PHP stopped working on OpenSuSE 10.3 LAMP server

Hello experts,
I have a OpenSuSE 10.3 LAMP server that used to work well.  Its specs are:

OpenSuSE 10.3
Apache2 2.2.4
PHP 5.2.5
MySQL 5.0.45

However, last weekend the server quit serving php based pages.  When ever you go to access a php page, you are asked to download it. However, you can access HTML pages.  I had not changed the configuration of the server and am curious as to why it quit working. Checking on other sites, I seem to have the necessary files configured correctly(See code snippet).

I have run into this problem in the past when I have installed ISPConfig on a LAMP server.
