The Solution Rating System

  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Simple dynamic image viewer page?

Hi,
I'm trying to create a dynamic photo viewer page as simply as possible.
I have a page displaying all the thumbnails. I want a use to click on the thumbnail and then be taken to a dynamic page that shows the full size version of the picture, probably with "previous" and "next" buttons if possible.

I was hoping this was a simple as capturing the variable and passing it to photo viewer page with:
<?php
//Get pic variable
$img = "$image";
print ("$img");
?>

and then doing something like:
<IMG SRC="<? print $image ?>.jpg" BORDER=1 HSPACE=10 VSPACE=10>

This way I dynamically reference the image. But I guess you can't pass a variable unless it is set with a submit button? Is this the only way to capture it and pass via the URL? Is there any other way?Start Free Trial
