All php pages bring authentication prompt

Asked by jentel2 in PHP for Windows

I have web sites running in Windows 2000. All the sites run under their own separate Windows user. Some of them use php. PHP was using some version of 4.x. Yesterday I upgraded to php 4.4.8. Now ANY page in any site with a php extension brings up a user authentication prompt.

I am guessing it's a setting in php.ini but I do not know which. To the best of my knowledge I have copied all the modified settings from the previous php.ini to the new php.ini.
Anyone knows why the prompt always shows up?
Also where should the php.ini reside.. In Window root folder or in the php root folder?Start Free Trial
