Browse All TopicsHi,
I am starting to pull my hair out! Any help on this would be much appreciated.
I am new to php amd mysql, I mostly use asp and mssql.
I installed php 5.2.8 and mysql 5.1 on windows server 2003
There were many problems but after getting them to a point I found info saying that Fastcgi is better under IIS (more stable).
I used the Fastcgi extension for IIS6 and got the phpinfo screen working and the first page of phpMyadmin working. Mambo install worked until the database connection. and phpMyadmin didnt connect to the database.
I kept getting Fastcgi errors displayed.
I then uninstalled all that and installed the iis-aid for php application...things were looking good..!
The error on the phpmyadmin is #2003 - cannot connect to server.
The error under the mambo install is
PHP Warning: fopen(langconfig.php) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in C:\domains\insanitybeckons
Can someone help me please?

Okay I have solved the mambo part and got mambo working...
Knightfox: it wasnt your answer that fixed that issue but because you made me create a second DB. I will give you 200pts.
The person who solves the phpMyadmin problem gets the 300pts.
Currently I get NO error when I try to connect with phpMyadmin...it lets me enter the user and when I click go nothing happens apart from a screen refresh...!?

There are two seperate problems you are facing.
The language: Have you set the install language to anything other than English? Try leaving it at english
The database: The error is caused by the fact that you either haven't created a database yet, or have entered the wrong data for Mambo to connect to it. Have you created a MySQL database?
