The Solution Rating System

gd_php3.dll library  for php in Win32

Excuse me for my bad questioning style :) But:
  -- PHP is a server-side scripting language
  -- I use PHP3.0.16 under Win32
  -- I downloaded it from www.php.net
  -- PHP3 for Win32 has many built-in ready-to-use libraries
  -- One of them is gd_php3.dll, a gd dynamic library
  -- gd is a free library for graphical programming (independent of php)
  -- You can find gd at http://www.boutell.com/gd/
  -- In it's previous versions gd supported a function named gdImageGif
  -- It was (and still is) possible to call this function from inside php3.
Because of GIF patent problems, this function is not supported by newer versions of gd
  -- gd has (at least) two new functions inplace of gdImageGif. These are gdImagePng and gdImageJPeg.
  -- But I cannot find any documentations on supporting of these two new functions in php3, or php4
  -- gd_php3.dll has very serious problems. It is a fully unusable :)
  --I know that ImagePng and ImageJPeg are functional under UNIX-distribution of php3, but they doesn't work in Win32 bundle at all.
  --gd_php3.dll has a ImageWBmp function which on occasion of an error it outputs a message 'ImagePng: ...'. I think this could be a compilation error.
  ==gd_php3.dll is not functional under Win32, please help me.

  And now, please tell me how can I find the previous not supported version of gd source or gd_php3.dll OR show me the way to build a functional version of gd_php3.dll (for PHP3) or gd_php.dll (for PHP4)
