Browse All TopicsI got big video files in size of tens of megabytes. All I want to know is the fastest way how to perform output of that file like Apache when you request direct for file. I tried readfile but it consume too much memory. Anybody can help with this ???

try using readfile()
it opens a file and sends it straight to stdout. I am not sure how much memory it will consume, but if Zend optimized it correctly it should be very efficient for your use.
You will need to send the correct header to the browser for it to open the right application to play it though.

Are you wanting to let people download large video files without consuming too much memeory??
