Currently I have an apacher server up with php, also i have a MYSQL database running but in the phpinfo() function, there is no information about my MYSQL database.
Which file and what setting would i change so that php will recognise MYSQL, mind you, i can still connection to the database and everything, but i need the phpinfo to be correct.

If there is no information in phpinfo() about MySQL then the version or compiled edition of PHP you have installed did not have MySQL support enabled. Did you compile it yourself? Try downloading a production release of PHP from www.php.net as all of their releases have built-in MySQL support. Or come back and let me know more about your setup.

Ok, i shall clarify.
I have an Apache server WITH MYSQL support, from the wesite, but in the phpinfo() it is only showing the default information, not my actual setting, even the API version is wrong.
Also, after restarting my computer, MYSQL did not start up properly, i think its because i do not have the start up info in one of my setting, the only reason why it worked before is because i had just installed it.
Hopefully you can help me now. :P
Well when you first install MYSQL (this was my first time), there is a database then needs to always be there, and since i didnt know that, i deleted it :p , so then i found an error log and saw which file it was looking for and remembered i needed that database for the files.
And about the phpinfo(), the information there was to be set by me to make programming easier i guess, so nothing wrong there either.

hi! maybe you could go change this in the php.ini file located in /etc directory..
mysql.allow_persistent = On
maybe that would work... not really sure
