The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

File upload problem

Asked by PUB_UL in PHP Scripting Language

Hi!
i made a script which upload a file using HTTP through a form. It works with small files (less than 10mb), but when it comes to bigger files, it doesn't work.

What i did so far is to put 100mb to post_max_size and upload_max_filesize.
I also put max_execution_time and max_input_time to 0 so i get all the time i want.

Now, when i submit my file, when it's bigger than 10mb and takes more than 3 min approx, i get the $_FILES["filename"]["error"] to 3, which says on php.net: The uploaded file was only partially uploaded.

The thing is, it happens when the file upload is over. If i wait to upload a 60mb file, it crashes when the 60mb are all uploaded, like 20 min later... and with a 11mb file, it happens like 10 mins later... Why would the file won't be all uploaded?

Can it be a configuration in Apache? That script was working fine since the server crashed and had to be installed on another server. I made the changes on configuration i said (post_max_size, upload_max_filesize, max_input_time and max_execution_time). Remember that it works with small files.

Thanks alot for your help, i really don't know what to do now!
