The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. Upload, Resize and Display Images in PHP

Hi, i have been trying to write a script that is a single file, 2 stages on it

Stage 1
A Banner and Title
A Form to browse for 3 files, then a combo box numbered 1 - 10, where by if u choose 6 it reloads the pages and has 6 file browse boxes, or 2 or 4 of whatever.
Finally a submit button

Stage 2
it uploads the images Resizes them to the dimentions set in the form or in the actual file.
it then displays the images Resized, and it has saved the file with the original file name, and the resized image as prefix-originalfile-name.ext in the same folder

Stage 3 on the above form it has a copy of the original submit script to so it all again.

I have a basic script but not having much look at the resize bit, where i need to distinguish between GIF, PNG, JPEG then use the correct resize routine.

I would like to see someone else's work, to compare to my own so i can learn what i have done wrong and maybe a better way of doing what i want.

Again i have only been learning PHP a week or so, and am currently an accomplished Visual Basic programmer to college level so i understand most codes principles just not the structures :)

If need be i can post my code but i would prefer to see someone elses work to learn from it :)
