Actually the time_limit didn't change the problem. However I found out that Windows 2000 has a bug with its ftp that sends a wrong bytecount. I switched to php built in ftp package and i'll see what happens!

Browse All TopicsHello all,
I stumbled upon a weird problem...
I had a script that created a csv file and then uploaded it to an ftp server
using file_put_contents('ftp://u
the weird thing is that some ftp files reached the server partially
Witch means that while i was expecting:
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA;AAAAAA
AAAAAA;AAAAAAAAAAAA;BBBBBB
BBBBBBBBBB;CCCCCCCCCCCCCCC
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA;AAAAAA
AAAAAA;AAAAAAAAAAAA;BBBBBB
BBBBBBBBBB;CCCCCCCCCCCCCCC
the uploaded file contained sth like
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA;AAAAAA
AAAAAA;AAAAAAAAAAAA;BBBBBB
BBBBBBBBBB;CCCCCCCCCCCCCCC
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA;AAAAAA
AAAAAA;AAAA
My guess would be that the script timed out (60seconds) during the upload
I gave it more time to execute and i've met no problems since - i was not able to replicate the problem
but i can't be sure i solved it...
Any Ideas?

Since changing the timeout fixed the problem, you should be good to go. However, you should check the FTP server logs to see if there is any weirdity there. Also, try sending very small files, and then very large files to see if you can reproduce the problem with different timeout thresholds.
