The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Identical PHP code messing up layout in IE

Asked by jabeavers in PHP Scripting Language

Tags: , , , ,

I have writtena PHP script that handles the layout of my webpage(s).  To make pages have the layout I want, I include the file that has the defined layout in it.  In IE 6 & 7, when I go to certain pages, the layout is all messed up and I can't seem to fix it.  In Mozilla, it works correctly, but IE messes it up.  Basically, I have a div on the left that is floating (float:left).  It contains a graphic and the navigation links.  On these certain pages, that div is scooted over to the right (on IE 6) or down (on IE 7).  The HTML / PHP is exactly the same because it's all in this file that I am including (include(...)).  I'll try to upload my files for you to look at, but for now here is a link to the site so you can see what I'm talking about.

This is okay:

This is messed up:
www.lightningsoftwaresolutions.com/projects/whitehorseranch.org/programs/eap.php

Other links under the Resources link are messed up as well.  Only the pages that are in a subfolder and not named Index.php are messed up.
???

Thanks,

John

PS. I'm running apache2 & PHP on Linux FC6.  IE6 & 7 on WinXP Pro.Start Free Trial
