and also you need to check users_isAppAdded() to se hwo it handles error ( maybe it also throws exception that is catched at the end)
you need to replace all throw statments to php4 compatible error handling functions

Thats not really possible to convert. You need to rewrite nearly all code, to use a different approach for error handling. Rewrite the facebook->redirect method to return a value instead of throwing an error the try:
