PHP Ajax Div's - Updating Div from clicking on hyperlink & querying

Hello,

I'm all new to PHP but i understand how to set up Div's and some of the other basics but i'm being a propper plank.

All i'm trying to do is have the Title Div, Menu Div and the Home Div now i'm trying to find out how to change the Home Div by clicking on an item in the Menu Div each of the Divs have a PHP page in them also before anyone says why don't i use frames....i want to try out something new! :)

I have tried to track down a tutorial but i cannot find anything!

For some reason i'm think that i need to use Ajax to do the updating from what i have read or maybe im completely wrong.

Please can someone just put up a simple tutorial on here with the example and just explain each part ie which part goes in which etc?

Also the other query is i want to learn about once you click on an item how do you get like this on froogle?
