Browse All TopicsI have a Flash MX application that has been running for the past 2 years. It has to access a PHP script on my server by using this format:
_root.sendParms.sendAndLoa
The app. is still working perfectly online, but I need to make and test a change in the Flash MX 2004 environment, and when I test my changes (Ctrl-Enter), I get the following error:
Error opening URL "http://www.myServer.com/s
I can execute the script directly from my machine via a web browser and it executes perfectly and returns the proper data.
I have turned off Windows firewall and Norton firewall. I've tried executing old .swf files that are on my machine with previous code that worked and ran from my machine, and these won't work now, so it must be some sort of local blockage. This is running in my local Flash Player 7 player, but I had installed Flash Player 9, so I have uninstalled Flash Player 9 and rebooted, but I still get the error.
I opened up Flash 8 and moved a small snippet of this code into that environment and tried to execute it, but I have the same problem.
My machine is a Dell Latitude D800 notebook computer running Windows XP Professional.
Some of my Windows automatic updates are also unable to update now and I wonder if whatever is blocking my Flash sendAndLoad statements may also be blocking my updates.
Any way to find out what is blocking these?
Thanks.
