there are some scripts for data storage which have unlimited upload size no matter of the .htaccess. How do they do that?

I have this php script for letting the users upload files into some folders. Is there a way to let the user upload files bigger than what is defined in .htaaccess? Does anyone know a script for this purpose on the web?

If you have a limit defined in a .htaccess file, then that's the limit. If you need to increase the limit, you'll need to edit the .htaccess file.
If you want to limit certain users, but grant other users a larger upload size, set the .htaccess limit at the larger number, and use your scripts to limit the accounts with the smaller upload size.
