With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. How to install php_zip.dll on Windows 2003 running IIS 6?

Hi All,

I am running php 5.2.4 on a Windows 2003 machine running IIS 6. I am trying to initialize/install php_zip.dll on the server. I cant get it to show up on the phpInfo() page.

A friend of mine has the same version running locally and on his info page, I can see the zip line item. On the server I see some entries for zLib but not for zip.

My install version did not have the dll. I moved a copy of php_zip.dll from local  to the ext folder on the server, edited php ini file and uncommented the entry to extension=php_zip.dll. I restarted the IIS. But I still cant see to get to work.


What am I missing?  Should I restart the server itself?
