Remove contents of a directory using PHP script

Hi all,

I have a user login on my site and each user has a temp folder on my server.

I need to delete the contents of their directory when they login to the site.

I have looked up deleting files with PHP and everything suggests the directory gets deleted as well as the contents. i need to just delete contents.

Can anyone help?
