Pulling data from database (php OPEN FLASH CHART

I am trying to create charts through Open Flash Charts (http://teethgrinder.co.uk/open-flash-chart/) ; its an open source charting bundle. I have attached the php code of the data file that queries the database.

Originally the tutorial (http://teethgrinder.co.uk/open-flash-chart/tutorial-db.php) uses the data file which uses the database to calculate sin function and displays the chart. So the php data file generates data.

What I am trying to do is change the data file so it queries the database and pulls the numbers from the tables field and displays the data ...
