How to break a while loop?

Hello all,

I have a function written in php that has a purpose of returning a list of images from a database and displaying the results on a page. The problem I have is that all my results are output in a verticle list, this is because of the markup language I have coded into the function.

What I want to happen is to display the image results in rows of 4 at a time and not one after the other in a long verticle list.

Please find my code example is attached:

How do I interupt the loop and tell the code to break to a new line, so for example each time it gets to the 4th loop, break the markup code to a new line and display the next 4 images in a row... and so on...

I hope this makes sense. Any help would be much appreciated.
