The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Page seems to load before IF statements are actioned

Hello

In the page below there are some IF statements. They decide if the session is to be destroyed or not and also what page cell to display. This process happens before headergloba.php being called later in the script.

When headerglobal.php is called the if statement in that file decides wether to show the login box or the user panel. It all works great.

Then I click logout and the pagecell changes to display a succesful logout. Problem is the user panel stays in sight. To me this says that within the index.php file the headerglobal.php is included and THEN the if statements

if(empty($_GET['logout']))

and

      else if (!empty($_GET['cellname']) && $logout == "killsession")

are run. Is this what happens in the page the HTML downwards is built and the PHP before the html header is run afterwards?

Did I mention on refreshing the page the login box replaces the userpanel. So I think the session is destroyed, why does the userpanel continue to show considering the headerglobal.php has the following...

      <?php
        // Check if authorisation set as yes in sessions
    if ($auth == "yes" && ($access == "master" || $access == "member" || $access == "admin"))
    {
               include 'inc/userpanel.php';
    }
    else
    {
               include 'inc/login.php';
            }
      ?>

by the time it gets to this If statement auth should not be populated.

It would be a great problem for me to fix myself but I've been at it so long it has to be a lack of experiance so any ideas on testing or a fix be magic Start Free Trial
