Cannot install joomla. Page will not proceed?
Hi There,
I have installed over 30 joomla websites and have never experienced this problem.
I have tried two installs in two different directories with two different downloads of joomla (on the same server!)
What is happening is when I go through the installation pages...it allows me to click on next UNTIL i get to the entering the database info page.
It will not click on the next for me.
You can see for yourself, and I don't think it matters what the database info I have written is, as it just wont click through.
Look at
http://dexter.une.edu.au/joomla
and
http://dexter.une.edu.au/newsite.
You will see what I mean.
Can anyone help?

The compressed mootools.js gives an error, so that file is buggy/corrupted Try to use a file from an older version.
the

file works for me. I just installed and skinned one last night on my home server for a local guy who wants a website

I tried uploading the new installation folder and plugins but it didn't work. (from MMDevelopers download) So I didn't replace the corrupt file I don't think.
I am trying a complete transfer of all the files now to see if that is successful

Have you cleared the cache of you browser or tried with shift-reload after you replaced the files?
ASKER
Yes I always do a shift reload when testing...it didn't help.
I would try re-downloading the joomla install package from the joomla site again.
