Comparison DOM

i am trying to compare two DOMNode objects in PHP could any one please suggest an aggregate function that could help me to find out that whether the two nodes are equal or not

what do you mean by equal?

do you mean same: http://us3.php.net/manual/en/domnode.issamenode.php

or do you mean having equal contents (and if so what does that even mean in that context?)?
