Browse All TopicsI've written two variations of a function and neither works. The function should take a domain name ex. google and an optional parameter ex. click here and output a hyperlink in html.
Here are my two variations. One exits php for the html the other does not. Neither works (they both return a blank screen) but I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong?
function hyperlink($url,$text=null)
{
if (!$text=null){
echo '<a href="http://www.'. $url .'.com/"></a>';
} else {
echo '<a href="http://www.'. $url .'.com/">'.$text.'</a>';
}
}
function hyperlink($url,$text=null)
{
if ($text=null){
?> <a href="http://www.<?php $url ?>.com/"></a> <?php
} else {
?> <a href="http://www.<?php $url ?>.com/"><?php $text ?></a> <?php
}
}
