The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Right Left arrow through a div of images

Asked by Simon336697 in JavaScript, PHP Scripting Language

Hi everyone.
You champs helped me out with another one of these....which is just awesome!
Now I have just a slight variation.
Instead of moving tab links, id like to use the same functionality as previously, to use the right and left arrows to move between different images in a div.
So you can reproduce, i have attached all files....please make sure you create the subfolders and place the images in there since the php function looks for that folder :>)

What i want is the following.....................

----------------------------------------------------------------------- page

< ------------------- larger view of image upon click of thumbnail -->

 <---------------------------------- div ---------------------------->
image    image      image     image       image      image
        ^         ^             ^
<-- move left or move right ---> when you select one
note that clicking on one of these also loads the larger version in the above div

Any help guys greatly appreciated :>)

How to set up and reproduce this question...

1) Place all the below files in the same folder:
picpage.php
leftrightarrows.js
horizontal_filmstrip.js
horizontal_filmstrip.css
2) Now create a subfolder inside the folder you housed all the files above, and call it 'picpage'
3) Inside the folder in 2), create yet another folder and call it 'images' (in here place all the images)
4) Now fire up picpage.php to see where im coming from.
It is the bottom div housing all the thumbnails which im looking at getting left right arrow functionality on when i click on them :>)
Guys because i cant upload css or js or php files, please rename where appropriate.
