PHPBB log in and userdata displayed on my page?

I'm building a website and planning on using PHPBB as my forum.

I have one requirement for it though and that is for the user to be able to log in from the frontpage. If they are logged in it should display username, messages, profile and logout links and remove the log in form.

I've looked everywhere for a solution, but i can't seem to find one that i can really understand, so i hope someone in here can help me with this.
