The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

VB ActiveX component for creating a Word document with IE

hi all,

could b this is simple or could b kinda hard

i'm working on a project where i have to create a Word document (W97) form a webapplication (an ASP-page)

i've tried Word on the server site but it's just to hard for the server, draining it almost down on the resources scale so i found a document from microsoft (Q286023) to create a worddoc on the client side with VB.
On the KB article there's a sample wich works fine. When i try to change it it keeps giving me an error ( Object variable or With Block variable not set Code: 0 )

link for Q286023: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;Q28603&

the sample can be dl from there: Autoword.exe

the files that i changed and changes made are:
Invoice.cls

OrderID As String ----> OfferteNR As String
m_Data.OrderID = oXML.getElementsByTagName("OrderID").Item(0).Text ----> m_Data.OfferteNR = oXML.getElementsByTagName("OfferteNR").Item(0).Text
oDoc.Bookmarks("Order_ID").Range.Text = m_Data.OrderID ----> oDoc.Bookmarks("Offerte_NR").Range.Text = m_Data.OfferteNR

Autoword2.htm

<OrderID> ----> <OfferteNR>
</OrderID> ----> </OfferteNR>

invoice.doc

Order_ID ----> Offerte_NR
bookmark(Order_ID) ----> bookmark(Offerte_NR)

this are the ONLY changes made, the prob could be into the dll??? or some other files who where added by into the sample, if you have a solution pls give enough info cause i'm kinda green on the vb-dev part.
