Browse All TopicsHello,
I have a Intranet Website developed(ASP,SQL) and operational and has been hosted on the Company server, which is accessible from the Internet as well. The IP which the site is using is Internet IP.
[change of location not possible :( ]
Company has three offices located at three physically distant places in the town. employees from all the three offices access the intranet website using corporate LAN connected by dedicated Line.
I want to restrict the users from outside the company LAN [even company employee accessing site from internet from outside of corporate LAN].
I have user IP field in the database, which captures the remote IP. but its not seems to be enough.
How do i go about the same? Any Idea??
Thanks,
Amit Jog

Can you not just block the access at the firewall?
External requests for secure documents, get sent back permission denied. I don't understand why you would be letting external request get to even the dmz. If LAN access is accross dedicated lines it should be a seperate router so you simply disallow access to the secure router from teh firewall router, and only allow secure access off the router manageing the dedicated lines.
If you are running everything on one router, or are not using a firewall to seperate the paths you are asking for security violations.
