JScript Encoder encrypts the contents whatever within the <script> tag. You can use the same technique of putting the content of the xml within the script tag and get it decoded at the client place.. Hope this helps..

Browse All TopicsI have a .NET web application. the applicatoin will generate an XML files from database and user will download the XML file. then the user will use a hta application to open the XML file. currently the XML is downloaded in plaintext form. is there any way to encode/encrypt/convert the XML file in the .net application before the user downloads it, while the hta will be able to revert it back to the original XML before parsing it. Thanks

ie has a JScript Encoder that may work for you. Do a msdn search for JScript encode or a google search as i do not have the link right off.
