The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Web portfolio needs ways to deter copyright theft.

Asked by KingXII in Web Languages/Standards

This is the situation; I am working on a web portfolio to supplement my hard copy portfolio to be used for college admissions and possibly be used later in my professional life.  I am in need of a way to prevent people from taking my drawings and actually use them.  Some of the images will be art, which I can easily solve with a watermark, but many of the drawings will be line art and floor plans.  It is extremely easy to remove a watermark from a floor plan, and it is extremely easy for someone to just build the darn thing without giving me, the designer, any credit.  I am currently looking for a programming language that would allow me to deter most people from stealing my work.  I am looking for a programming language that would deactivate screenshots, saving the file, and gain access to the source.  I know there are anti right click java scripts, those are not the one’s I am looking for.  Please take in mind I have not started to code the site, I am willing to learn a new web language and please provide working examples and the code.  Any other suggestions are welcome, by the way javascript is out of the question because it's easily disabled.  I also thought about flash and the like, but I would like other opinions so I'll have a plan of how everything will come together.Start Free Trial
