Purpose: I am researching program development costs for new web development projects based on programming language for a graduate course that I am taking. I am an experienced software developer and have noticed that some languages tend to lead to longer development times, and that hiring developers with certain skills also add a premium to the price tag. I would like objective answers and would not like to get into the development language wars, where one side is trying to convince the other that their language is better, I just want to document real experiences and costs by metro area and let the chips fall as they may. I would appreciate your responses and any ideas you may have. You can send the response to me at jmcdonald@email.msmary.edu
if you would rather not post it here.
