The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

will effectively split in two tables
(note that your XSLT requires to be wellformed)

There is a more elegant solution that would split the table every fifth row,
but for that I need your input data

cheers

my xslt is not supporting position() comment

Rank: Genius

then your XSLT is not XSLT :-)
I am not aware of a processor that does not support position()
Are you using the microsoft working draft?
If you are, change it to real XSLT, msxml supports that to

can you show me your full xslt, namespaces inclusive?

Rank: Genius

That is the old working draft for XSL,
only ever supported by microsoft and 10 years out of date.
Microsoft parsers since this time support the XSL standard as well,
so you should revert to that

05.06.2008 at 11:43AM PDT, ID: 21509793
Is there any way I can make it work without changing the parser

05.06.2008 at 03:17PM PDT, ID: 21511521

Rank: Genius

you don't need to change the parser
(I would be surprised if msxml3 was not installed on your machine)
you just need to trigger the parser in the right mode.
How do you call the XSLT? Is this simply in a browser?
If it is in a browser, you can use the <?xml-stylesheet... processing instruction
Accepted Solution
