Save XML document to server

I am creating an xml document dynaimcally and I can successfully save it to my local computer but when I change the address to point to my server, it won't work. Can anyone explain why? thanks,

questions is are you getting any errors if npt is the application have the right rights setup like read/write from your webserver

It works fine when directing it to my C: drive. This is the error:

are you hosting this site on a remote server or its under your control? try some other example which allows you to do simple file stories such as text file and see what happens i maintain my application it stores xml files in the directory i setup about a year ago i remember that time i had issue when i forgot to give write/read permission to the application via IIS configuration.

try this example to see whether there is a problem with your code or its a configuration issue

The error indicates that the method used to write the XML document will only accept a file path on the local system.
From here you can upload the file to a remote location, eg. by using the attached FTP code snipped taken from

Or, if you host the website on the same computer running the program, you can save the XML file to the appropriate folder in the [Inetpub\wwwroot] directory (when you are using IIS)

of course you do not have to save the XML document first an then open it again,
preferably use

clsDocument.Save(clsRequest.GetRequestStream())
