JAXB and wsgen WSDL interop question

Hi!

I have some classes similar to the following:

@XmlAccessorType(XmlAccessType.NONE)

	private Items parentItems;
	
	@XmlAttribute
	public int getId() {
		return id;
	}
	
	private void setId(int id) {
		this.id = id;
	}
	
	@XmlIDREF
	public Items getParentItems() {
		return parentItems;
	}
	
	private void setParentItems(Items parentItems) {
		this.parentItems = parentItems;
	}
}

public class Items {
	private int id;
	private List<Item> items;
	
	@XmlAttribute
	public int getId() {
		return id;
	}
	
	private void setId(int id) {
		this.id = id;
	}
	
	@XmlElement

		return items;
	}
	
	private void setItems(List<Item> items) { 
		this.items = items; 
	}
	
	/**
	 * Seperate ID getter for JAXB as it requires XmlID to be a String!
	 */
	@XmlID
	private String getJaxbId() {
		return Integer.toString(id);

	@WebMethod(operationName = "save", action = "save")
    @WebResult(name = "savedItems")

I've written a test which creates a Items instance and adds a few items then uses a JAXBContext to serialize the object graph to xml in a byte array stream and back again which all works fine - so far so good.

The issue I'm having is that when I use wsgen to generate a WSDL for the webservice I get the following in the xsd:

<xs:complexType name="items" >
<xs:sequence>
<xs:element name="item" type="xs:item" minOccurs="0"/>
</xs:sequence>
<xs:attribute name="id" type="xs:int" use="required"/>
<xs:attribute name="jaxbId" type="xs:ID"/>
</xs:complexType>

My question is why - even though the getJaxbId method is private and has no backing field or a setter - does wsgen add a jaxbId field to the xsd???

Adding an @WebMethod(exclude=true) annotation doesn't get rid of it either.

Anyone know how I can exclude jaxbId from the WSDL?
