Millions connect with friends, family and peers every day on social media sites, sharing information, ideas, jokes or insights with the click of a button. If you’re one of them, Experts Exchange has now made it easier for you to share technology Q’s and A’s with your social circle.
Share Unlocked Answers
Sharing a solution with a friend who doesn’t have Experts Exchange is great, but not when they’re sent to a “sign up now” page instead of an answer. Now, anytime you share an accepted solution with your social circle using our share buttons, your followers can click through to a see the unlocked answer even if they’re not yet a member.
Share Strip
We’ve added what we call our “share strip” to all of our content pages, including articles, blogs and questions. The strip includes links to the most popular social media sites (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google+), plus a “more” button to access additional social networks. Click on your preferred social channel, sign in and your friends will have logged-in access to your shared page.
NEW: Login-Free Sharing with SocialSync
Our new SocialSync feature lets you login to Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter accounts once on Experts Exchange and share your questions, answers, write an article or a blog with just a couple clicks.
How to enable SocialSync
- Click the “edit” button in the “My Account” box on the right-hand side of your screen
- In your personal preferences, scroll down to the sharing section
- Click the sign in buttons for each social platform you want to authorize
Once you’ve synced your accounts, you’ll see a share box (like the one below) when you’re posting a new question, answer, article or blog. Click the box and you’ll automatically share a message on your social networks of choice upon hitting submit.
URL Shortener
You know how these work. Shorter links make it easier to share on social networks, which is why every time you share content using our sharing tools, we automatically replace the URL with a short, social friendly one.
