XML write - export to a string

Hi,
I'm trying to export data to an XML standard string...

I am already using SAX (xerces's) to parse a document, but now I need to export other data. I do not seem to find a standard XML writer, and I really need one! I need to be able to support various encodings, and therefore cannot do it manually.

Do you have any links, experience, anything that will enable me to output standard XML.

Code would be great, but leads would also be appreciated.

I'm using C++ on w2k with vc6.0.

Thanks

No.
I'm using xerces's implementation of SAX and DOM and that method is not implemented, since it's an extension to the W3C DOM...

Having it sure will help...

And with minor tweaking, it seems possible to save to string buffer instead of a file (w/h a cutom object)... please correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks for the lead, I'll sure investigate IDOM in the next days!

BTW: I also found a formatter class in xerces that enables to parse and convert strings to a specified format... but no "save" methods!

Thanks

Finally, I implemented a writer/validator following the XML syntax from w3c... nothing fancy, but it does the job!

Thanks for your inputs

Force accepted??? it did not at all answer my question!

I don't mind accepting myself questions, but they have to at least help to get in the right direction... As mentionned in my "03/14/2002 06:45PM PST" comment...

Anyway...

antoinebf,
Perhaps Mindphaser was a bit hasty on this.  You did respond to griessh's request for input.  I suggest posting a comment to Community Support and requesting a refund of your points.

I don't really mind the 50 points... it's more for the principle!

Anyway, you did try to help and I do read a lot of your comments on other questions... :)

Thanks!

I am sorry if I misunderstood your comment. I didn't see it in a direct relationship to griessh's comment.
Unfortunatelly points are the only currency we have at EE, so please accept a refund ...
