The Annual Expert Awards are announced at the beginning of each New Year to celebrate the best Experts throughout the years from a competitive field of Experts worldwide.

The award winner in each category receives the following:

Awards Defined

On top of announcing the Expert Award Winners, Experts Exchange honors their Top Experts for the year. Listing the top ten experts in each of the categories below and the experts with the most points, most points by a rookie, most assist points and most answered questions in each the 50 most active zones*.

1. Expert of the Year: The expert with the most points for the year.
2. Rookie of the Year: The expert who has earned the most points throughout the year, starting the year off with 0 points.
3. Juggernaut: The expert that has answered the most questions throughout the year.
4. Heatseeker: The expert that has climbed the most ranks, starting the year with a minimum of 10,000 points.
5. Sniper: The expert with the highest percentage of accepted solutions out of questions participated, with a minimum of 300,000 points earned throughout the year.
6. Impact Award: Some contributors are so passionate about Experts Exchange that they take it upon themselves to make their own improvements to the community. This award honors the people that make the biggest contributions throughout the year.
7. The Closer: The Member with the most questions asked within the year with at least a 95% close rate (no force accepts).
8. Titan: The expert with the highest percentage of points within a zone.
9. The Ally: The expert with the most assist points throughout the year.
10. The Addict – NEW!: The expert with the most solutions from a mobile device, excluding the Lounge and Community Support zones.
11. Author of the Year – NEW!: The top Articles contributor for the year, hand-picked by Experts Exchange and the Page Editors. This author's Articles are not only plentiful, but are considered a valuable resource to the tech community.
12. Philanthropist – NEW!: The expert with the most accepted solutions on 100-point or fewer questions, excluding the Lounge and Community Support zones.

The top ten Experts for the quarter in each of the above categories
The top Experts in the most active zones* for the quarter.

* Most active zones are the zones with the most questions asked and page views for the specified time frame.
