URGENT: Installing SQL Server on XP

Does anyone know how to install SQL Server 2000 on XP. I am only able to install the client apps, but not Server. The MS website does not list XP as a supported OS, but apparently there is a work around. Does anyone know how to get around this issue?

I need an answer on this ASAP.

Thanks

I didn't thin XP had been released yet so I assume that it is the beta version that you are using, which edition of SQL2K are you using ?

I am trying to install enterprise version of SQL 2K. Standard does not work either.

I don't think it's possible to install SQL SERVER on anything but a Windows SERVER.  Since the "XP"
SERVER is nowhere near being released and in fact is not even in beta, what XP are you installing on?
XP Pro?  If so, you can't do it.  The workstation products don't support SQL Server, nor will they
ever.

Enterprise edition will only work on a Server operating system, you may be able to install the Personal edition of SQL2K (think this is on a seperate disk) or if its just for testing the developer edition may work.
SQL Server Enterprise edition will not install on XP. However, The developer edition does install.

Also, I am running the release version of XP, not beta, as our organisation is an early adopter of Windows XP.

Thanks for your help everyone.
