Whats the future

I am good at c++. Now i want to specialise in java technologies like java, java script, jsp, ejb, servles, corba and rmi etc etc. Now pls tell me is c++ and java technologies together r enough for me to get a good job. Is future of java programmers strong

Actually, being good at ANY techonology will get you a good job, but with techonologies like VB, JavaScript, servlets, JSP, ASP, one is guaranteed even if you aren't such a good programmer.

Yes, the request for Java programmers is very high.

Good idea to actually look at the real marketplace. www.monster.com and www.dice.com are good places to look at available jobs.

Actually, C++ as being the primary programming language for "scientific"/computer science (or non-IT/Cobol) type development is quickly being replaced by Java (by next year Java will surpass C++). Many programmers (I know this because I do a lot of technical screens) are refusing to accept jobs doing C++. I think this is somewhat silly because C++ skills will continue to be useful (like Cobol) because of all that legacy code. I think most are refusing C++ just because Java is more fun to code and certainly more rewarding that you can run it anywhere.

You *always always always* have to keep your skills up to date in software, so just because you know something now, you will continue to need to learn new technology.
