Oracle Table and SQL From VB through ADODB

I have created a table called STATUS as follow:
SEQ_NO NUMBER(2)
STATUS_CODE CHAR(1)
NAME VARCHAR2(30)
I wrote a VB program using ADODB to access the Oracle Database.
I used an ADODB.Connection to execute the SQL like this:
SELECT SEQ_NO, STATUS_CODE, NAME FROM STATUS
but I couldn't get any record from that table (there are data in that table already).

If I change the column SEQ_NO's data type from NUMBER(2) to NUMBER, everything's OK!
This only happens with the NUMBER datatype with specific length.
What's wrong with that?

Check oracle's web site for any bugs with OLE DB or ODBC driver that you are using. You could also post this question there.
