Backup Exec 7: whitepaper for a backup and a restore

Hi there,

I'm looking for a guiding paper, a procedure or white paper for users explaning how to backup or restore data using Backup Exec 7. I do prefer documents with screenshots since I don't own the software myself. If someone should have those documents, can you please send them to michaelleke@yahoo.com ? I know they must exist somewhere, but I'm not able to find them.

tnx in advance,

Here is a shortcut to the downloadable PDF manual you need:

http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/228655.htm

Hope this helps,

Colleen
OOPS! I tried running the downloadable .exe file to check for screen shots...

It's not a self-extracting .zip file, but an install shield deal.

The readme.txt file sets the admission requirement fairly high...

Installation Requirements
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If running Windows NT 3.51, Windows NT 3.51 Service Pack #5 must already be
installed.
If running Windows NT 4.0, Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack #3 or 4 must already be
installed.
The Seagate Backup Exec for Windows NT v7.0 build 727.2 Backup Engine
"BNT7I727.EXE" must already be installed.
Hats off to Veritas. You can't install the manual unless you already have the solfware installed... Oh yeah. That's a really smart way to get tech support people to love your product...
I'll keep looking,
Colleen
