Which database is better in order to publish in the web?

I want to ask which database is ok in order to make searches in 3000 about records (in the Internet).
I' using Windows Me
1)I want to have the possiblity 2 or more persons in the web (at the same momemt)can do concurrent searches from different places and not one person at time.
2)Can I use access 97 (Is it running under Me)?
3)Have any good advise for any other database?
which web server must I run?
4) Do you know any free (or not free) on line database where can I publish my records?

Get interbase open source at sourceforge or phoenix. It will more than handle what you need, it is free, and it will be scalable upwards if needed.

Dump Windows ME, as most professionals will tell you, it is a piece of crap.

please can you be more specific. How can I get this product.
And something else what do you mean about Windows Me.
I have just bought a new pc and it was already installed.
What is better to install?

Windows ME is not stable. You would have been better off with 98se. 2000 is by far the choice right now, as it has been past its' 'Betta' days that XP is currently in, and also doesn't have the Nazi licensing of XP.
