no boot up

Celeron 333, 128, integrated sound and video, TX pro2 motherboard - system degraded from normal operation to won't start in the matter of a few hours, for no reason. Now the system has no video and will not boot. At startup you can hear the hard drive start and memory check and that is all.  All cables look good. What happened?

There is a battery on the motherboard and it may of died. But first make doubly sure all the expansion cards and cable connections and RAM modules are snugged down tightly. If they are not then this can cause this behavior.
The battery will more than likely will be silverish in color and about the size of a nickle or a quarter. It is usually held down with some metalic spring loade lever.

If at all possible borrow or obtain replacement parts and one by one swap part, boot, check for operability, shut off, switch back, swap different part, check again. after each part is checked individually try all at once.
9 out of ten times this will be just a matter of reseating the video card, or memory.
Shut down the machine. remove all the cards and leave only the power to the motherboard memory, processor and the VDO card.Next check if the speaker cable is connected to the motherboard and then next turn on the machine. Two cases
One... if you get one beep the diagnosis is on the right path next try putting rest of the card and isolate the faulty one.Second case if you dont get any beep check if the speaker is working. If it is, then replace the memory stick, try, no success?, try replacing or rather reseating the processor and possibly replacing the powersupply.
This should help you diagnosing the problem in the right direction.

there is no problem with your motherboard because it is able to see your ram, when your computer checks your ram try to get in bios , and in bios check your harddrive ,if it is properly set up in bios there is a hardware problem with your hardisc as you know harddisc consists of magnetic disc which is a physical device
