Just installed InterDev on my Win2K-machine. Launched "Web-Project-Wizard", in the server typed "127.0.0.1", selected "Local-Mode", SSL "Unchecked", get a screen to log in: WebApplication: firewall, UserName: domain\loginame, password:

even though the I'm putting the right password, still it wouldnt accept the password.

Do I need to reinstall? Please help me.

for server name try typing in the name not the ip address. And do you have the FrontPage 98 server extensions or higher installed on the master web server.

I do have FrontPage Extensions intalled. As for putting the "USER ACCOUNT" The only option I get under "Project" is "Add-Item"(its disabled).

Please help me.
bylj,

that is because you don't have a project open.

click File, New Project, Fill out a Name in The Name field and press ok. Type the servername in the field. If you don't get any connection after this point, your server does not have any frontpage extensions support.

You can set the permissions once you connected to the server. Let me know how you are progressing.

Marcel

P.S. Also be sure you installed the visual studio service pack 4 on your client pc. Also try to install the Frontpage 2000 server extensions release on your server.
Also, go to you server pc or to your admin, and ask if your windows NT user account is added to the MACHINENAME\ADMINS group. The MACHINENAME is the name of your server. The MACHINENAME\ADMINS group ( + authors + browsers ) are created !! once you install the server extensions on your server. Those groups are in the LOCAL NT domain of the server. Please check this first.

Good luck
