how do I find my netbios, or my phone number for netmeet?
I dont even know what it is called, im not an e-professional, just a home user.

Ive tried every help and support link from microsoft and compaq, and no one will respond to my question.
I found this link in the netmeet help button.

I can dial others, but I dont have a number to give out.

ex: 123.32.564.87
a number like this one!
sorry if this is a stupid question...
thanks,

what operating system are you using and how are you getting on the internet?
ie: dial-up or cable, dsl etc...

Actually the easiest way for you to find out regardless is to log onto the internet and go to this link...

http://www.slac.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/nph-traceroute.pl

at the top of the page you will get a response similar to the following...

Traceroute from www.slac.stanford.edu to your web browser at 123.32.564.87.

That will be your IP address that other ppl will use to call your NetMeeting...

hope this helps and good luck...
also after you log on, you can go to
for w9x/ME start-->run and type winipcfg and get your ip from there
for NT/w2k go to the command prompt and type ipconfig /all and get it from there

I apologize for posting my proposed solution to this question as an answer instead of a comment. I clicked the wrong button and it was too late by the time I realized it. I tried to change it but could bot see how.

THANKS CHASDW, FOR THE MOST UNCOMPLICATED ANSWER!!!!
Just curious Todd. I just got an email telling me that my answer was accepted by you and yet you are thanking chasdw. Was a mistake made here? If it was, please let me know so that the points I received can be transferred over to him. Thanks

sorry, I didnt know it was so competitive.
yes his helped me the most, the only comment box was here.
thanx for the help.

Greetings, it seems that an error occurred here.  Todd Roberts when an expert proposes an answer, and you wish to award an different expert, then you must reject the proposed answer, and then you will get back the accept comment as answer button. As far as being competitive, that is not the case. One of the strong points of EE is the PAQ (previously answered questions) in which someone may "purchase" for 10% of the original point value of the question. If someone were to purchase this question, they could be misled as to what the solution was. That is why it is important to award the correct expert, not to mention that the only reward the experts get here is the points and the "good answer" email.
flubbster, I can see by one of your previous posts that it was an accident that you proposed an answer, please be more carefull in the future. I will post a new question for chasdw to award them the points. Todd, this will not cost you any more points, and flubbster, you will still keep the points awarded to you here.
